Available Methods and Accessories
- X band microwave bridge and resonator
- Q band microwave bridge and resonator
Sample Requirements
Soluble or solid samples. Samples must have an unpaired electron (paramagnetic) for this technique.
Summary of Technique
Samples are placed into a microwave cavity while the external magnetic field is changed. Electrons will undergo a change in alignment at the resonant frequency in the microwave field. This technique can be done in a quantitative method.
Information Provided & Detection Limits
EPR provides information on the electron environment of a nucleus. It can detect microgram quantities of radicals in a sample
