Dr. Morales received her M.S. and Ph.D. in Materials Science from CINVESTAV at the National Polytechnic Institute in Mexico, in collaboration with The University of Texas at Dallas. As a scholarship recipient from the Mexican Council of Science and Technology, she pursued her postdoctoral position in Applied Physics at Yale University.

Some of her projects focused on the synthesis of hybrid dielectric materials for electronic device applications. Daniela has experience in the deposition and characterization of epitaxial and polycrystalline thin films. She is an expert in the analysis of bulk solids, powders, and thin films using high-resolution X-ray techniques.

Dr. Morales joined IMS in 2016 as a Research Associate to manage the operation of the X-ray facility. She has trained 150+ users in multiple diffraction techniques and collaborated with several multidisciplinary academic projects. As a part of the Industrial Affiliates Program, she has participated in 100+ projects with our industrial partners.
